Alexandre Augst is a director and cinematographer based in Paris. Drawn to light before story, he builds his films from textures, faces and silences, looking for the moment where an image stops describing and starts to feel.

Moving between commercial, music and fiction, he works with the same instinct behind the camera and in the director's chair: a patient attention to natural light, a taste for intimate framing, and a belief that restraint is often where emotion lives.
